Important Information Before You Buy – READ FIRST

For the best experience with your wallpaper and wall decals, please read all of the information below carefully before placing your order.

About Our Product - PhotoTex

We use PhotoTex – the highest quality removable fabric on the market! PhotoTex is a patented, peel-and-stick fabric that is removable and reusable without leaving adhesive residue. It works on nearly any flat surface, both indoors and outdoors, and is durable and weatherproof, ensuring it won't shrink, curl, rip, or wrinkle. PhotoTex is also non-toxic and safe, approved for both residential and commercial use.

Our wallpapers and decals are made with premium opaque PhotoTex fabric, which blocks out wall color and overlaps seamlessly, creating a clean, professional look. Additionally, our decals are precision-cut with no borders.

If your wall art isn’t on PhotoTex, it’s not the real deal!

Where PhotoTex Should NOT Be Used:

To avoid installation issues, do not apply PhotoTex to the following surfaces:

Teflon-Based Paint:
Teflon creates a highly repellent surface, which prevents adhesive from bonding effectively. The nature of Teflon coatings means the PhotoTex will not adhere properly and may fall off the wall shortly after application, leading to poor installation results.

Washable Paint (e.g., Dulux Wash and Wear):
Washable or stain-resistant paints contain special additives that create a surface resistant to adhesives. These additives are designed to repel moisture and stains, but they also inhibit the proper sticking of PhotoTex. As a result, the PhotoTex is likely to fall off the wall, causing adhesion failure.

Textured Surfaces (e.g., bricks, concrete, raw timber):
Even slight surface textures, such as the "orange peel" appearance, create uneven surfaces that hinder the adhesive's ability to fully contact the wall. This leads to weak adhesion, causing the PhotoTex to peel or lift in certain areas.

Paint Without Primer:
Primer acts as a base layer that ensures better adhesion of both paint and PhotoTex. Without proper priming, the paint may not bond evenly with the surface, and removing or repositioning the PhotoTex could cause the paint to lift or peel, potentially damaging the wall. Additionally, if paint is peeled off and sticks to the PhotoTex, it will affect the wallpaper’s reusability, making it impossible to reposition and reuse.

Paint that is Flaking or in Need of Repair:
If the paint is flaking or damaged, the PhotoTex will have an unstable surface to adhere to. This could cause the PhotoTex to peel off, take sections of paint with it, or leave unsightly marks when removed, reducing the Phototex's effectiveness, removability and resuablity.

Freshly Painted Walls:
Newly painted walls need time to cure and dry properly. Applying PhotoTex to freshly painted walls (before they have fully cured, usually 4 weeks) may result in adhesion issues.

High Humidity Areas (e.g., bathrooms, kitchens splashbacks, laundries with dryers):
High humidity areas may affect the adhesive's performance. Moisture in the air can weaken the bond between the wallpaper and the wall, causing peeling, bubbling, or lifting of the PhotoTex.

Next Steps:
1/ Measure your walls carefully to ensure you order the correct amount of wallpaper.
2/ Read our installation guides to ensure smooth and easy application.
3/ Order a Sample to test the design, texture, and colours. Samples help you see how the
wallpaper will look in your space.
