Genie’s Hamptons Inspired Bedroom

Genie’s room reveal brought to you by Pottery Barn Kids x Minnie and Me Interiors

Welcome to Genie's room... a Hamptons inspired dream room, featuring classic white, soft pink and soft blue hues. Evoking feelings of warmth, love and happiness, this is the perfect space for our littlest love.

PBK are renowned for their well made, safe and super stylish collection of furniture, bed linen, decor and accessories.

In Genie's room we started with the following furniture and decor by PBK:

I chose classic white furniture and blush accessories. White provides the perfect base to add colour, and means that accessories can easily be changed when it's time for a freshen up. The canopy and chandelier provide much needed height, they draw your eye upward, making the room feel spacious. The canopy plus the sheer curtains bring softness. Whilst, the pink quilt and rug add texture and warmth.

Checks and gingham, as well as soft florals scream coastal vibes in my opinion. Given this is a Minnie and Me room, pink was a must paired with the soft blue and lilac.

As we are renting, we had no choice but to work with the air conditioning unit on the feature wall. In order to hide it somewhat, we added left over wallpaper to the front panel.

We used two different wallpapers in this space. Sometimes the walls adjoining the feature wall can look quite bland, so adding the softer check wallpaper allowed the main floral wallpaper to shine, whilst adding interest to the the adjoining wall. Never again will I only wallpaper one wall in a room.
