Kelsie Rose Creative x Minnie and Me Interiors
When I first saw Kelsie's work, all the way back in early 2021, I knew that her paintings were destined to be turned into wallpaper. You know that feeling when a style just sings to you? I had that feeling and more, I couldn't stop staring at Kelsie's beautiful paintings. What I hoped, was that she would design a wallpaper for my own home. I reached out to her, and she was as thrilled and excited by the idea as me!
We had a couple of meetings in late 2021 to discuss the creative direction: colours, texture and flower types. We agreed that Kelsie would create two unique designs, one vibrant and one pastel.
For the vibrant design, of course I wanted lots of pink, but I wanted Kelsie to stay true to her style, as that's what I fell in love with.
For the pastel design, we decided on a very soft pink background with the flowers painted in hints of pastel lilac, mint, peach, pink, lemon and blue.
Next we did some test prints of Kelsie's artworks to ensure that we could replicate the beautiful colour and texture of Kelsie's designs. In spite of the wallpapers being printed flat (2D), the wallpaper absolutely printed with the appearance of having texture, a signature of Kelsie's work.
Kelsie got to work on the two beautiful one of a kind pieces. The vibrant piece was created for me to keep, it measures a huge 185 x 125cm. I can not wait to look at this everyday when we move into our new home. I have also planned a room in our new home to showcase this wallpaper, more on that soon... trust me, it will be EPIC!

The next step was digitalizing the artworks and creating repeat patterns, Kelsie and I have an expert team that supported us with this important process.
The wallpaper samples were approved in April 2023... things were starting to get VERY real.
Then we sent off the very first full sized wallpapers to the fabulous Mel Tonkin to style. As usual, she created absolute magic!!! Having our designs styled is critical to us here at Minnie and Me, we dislike using 3D room renders, our customers deserve to see the real deal, and our designs deserve to shine.
